DJ is in desperate need of your support!

Season's Greetings friends and family! If you don't know me, my name is Tim Taylor, and I'm DJ's brother. Not only that, he is one of my best friends, and I'm lucky to have him as my older brother. DJ is going through very serious medical issues. He has a big challenge ahead of him and he has a lifelong history of proving he is up for a challenge. I'm asking for your help to keep DJ afloat and move forward during this challenging time of recovery

DJ misread a couple of steps back in early January and broke his ankle. He avoided surgery and was put in a hard cast. He subsequently was placed in a boot brace and could not put any weight on it for 3 months. He was then declared free and clear, and able to retire the boot and walk without any physical aids, albeit carefully, starting in early June.

In mid-July, DJ and his awesome girlfriend Jeanette relocated to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho from San Diego. They hired a moving service to assist them in their move, so as DJ would not have to lift and move anything heavy, therefore helping him in his healing/recovery process. However, about a month after they had settled in, DJ started to experience increased pain, and noticed that something did not feel and look right. He went to Urgent Care at the end of August, and learned that his right ankle had completely collapsed. His right foot had gradually dislocated from his ankle, his tibia refractured, and then managed to migrate past the ankle towards the bottom of his right foot.

Upon getting approved for MedicAid (his scheduled remote work in California didn't pan out, unfortunately, and he lost his private health insurance), DJ was finally able to see an orthopedic surgeon, and his case was deemed an emergency requiring immediate surgery. He was given two options: lose his right ankle and foot, or, attempt radical surgery, with a success rate of 70-80%. He was admitted to the Kootenai County Hospital on November 3rd for surgery in an effort to save his foot and ankle from being amputated. He was suffering with Charcot Foot ( https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15836-charcot-foot#:~:text=Charcot%20foot%20is%20a%20rare,foot%20or%20ankle%20can%20dislocate. )
which required major surgical intervention. DJ was released from the hospital on November 6th
and now has an exterior rotation fixator installed. By all accounts by his surgeon and post-op specialists, his surgery went very well.

DJ is a wonderful, funny soul and a friend to all who know him. We're hopeful that he will get a huge rally of support both financially and emotionally as he powers through this traumatic experience along his road to, hopefully, a full recovery.

Your donation is needed and very much appreciated. Jeanette has been a "rockstar" nurse, helping change his wound dressings everyday, amongst his other needs, and still manages to bring in income working full time remotely. However, her income no longer quite cuts it for the both of them. With your help, DJ will be able to focus his mind on rehabilitation, physical therapy, and recovery knowing that his mounting medical bills and living expenses are handled.
Your donations will be used for hospital and rehab bills as well as for pain management, medical equipment, transportation, proper nutrition and for his living expenses while he recovers.

Please, let's all rally for Deej! Every single donation is paramount. Please share this fundraiser and remember that your help is vital to DJ's recovery. Every dollar, every share, and any positive vibes, prayers and thoughts make a difference.

All my best, Tim.
