Straight from DJ: “I have a skin condition called ichthyosis which is a Hodgkins disease an amalgamation of different skin diseases that covers my whole body in rough scaly dark patches. For easier terms is just a form of skin cancer under the Hodgkin’s lymphoma category. And due to my simiglutide injections for my type 2 diabetes I have contracted thyroid cancer on top of it as a side effect along with gallbladder issues.” DJ is someone I’ve been very lucky to call a friend, and he needs our help. DJ has been battling skin cancer for some time, and had finally beat it. Along with other health issues, that provided much stress to his family, but he persevered through it and kept working hard. Unfortunately, he was dropped from his insurance and due to issues with injections for other medical issues he is now facing Thyroid Cancer. Not only is it stressful, scary, and painful, but it’s also left him still having to figure out how to support his wife and kids. He works extremely hard and is one of the kindest, funniest, most welcoming people I know. If there is anything you can do to help, I know his family will appreciate it. Thank you.
