Anyone who knows Dave, as a friend, an acquaintance, a loved one, a customer, or an employer, understands his passion for going above and beyond for his clients and his business to make all occasions special.

As many of you know, he was recently in a terrible accident while on the way to one of his weddings. The other driver fell asleep at the wheel and crossed over to Dave's side of the road, hitting his car head-on even though he was able to get to the breakdown lane. What was his first priority before even checking injuries? Call the bride, let her know the situation, and find a replacement.

Luckily, this happened on a backroad, so the speed of both cars was 35-40 MPH instead of much higher. While it could've been so much worse, and we thank God it wasn't, he has significant injuries to his right foot. Over a dozen bones have been broken and multiple tendons torn. The surgery results in a foot full of plates, screws, and pins. The recovery time to be able to put any weight on that foot at all is 2-4 months. Luckily, it was only 1 foot, so when he can get over the pain and do some physical therapy, he will become a little more mobile, a little at a time.

While insurance will eventually come through for his car and his equipment to be replaced, the more important and more immediate need is his quality of life until he can get back to normal, or his new normal. He is self-employed, so through no fault of his own, he has not only lost his only income source but has to try to find and compensate replacement DJs.

This GoFundMe is being set up to cover the expenses for being able to get him home comfortably, with a ramp to the door, medical equipment for him to be able to get around and shower while he heals, but also to cover lost income and all the expenses that aren't covered by insurance. We are thankful that those are the reasons, as it could've been to cover much more disheartening expenses.
