2025 was a traumatic year for me. This journey of a year threw more punches in the last months, with growing mental and physical/mobility challenges. From experiencing memory loss, repetitive mental breakdowns, inability to even walk, and being in intense pain most days. As a result of the challenges, I spent extended time away from work, and ultimately, I had to leave work because of the time lost and inability to work. I found a new job that was supportive and understanding to the challenges I was facing. As of January 12, I was unfortunately laid off, unrelated to my health. Before this, I was going through testing, seeing specialists, and trying to finalize a diagnosis so I could have a more defined treatment plan, but now, without health insurance, this has come to a halt.

Medical bills have been moderately covered and thankfully are not of greatest concern, but sadly, my monthly bills, including back rent, have piled up. This is why I need help from whoever can support me without jeopardizing their own well-being. I am currently a few months behind on rent and utilities and need help to catch up. I fear being unhoused again, a fear that many of us have. I am grateful for my landlord; they have been understanding, gracious, and patient. As of January 14, my landlord informed me that they will be selling the home this year, and I will need to move out within the calendar year and pay any outstanding debts I have with them. So if you have something you can grant, I would appreciate it deeply towards reaching this goal and stabilizing my ability to continue being housed long-term.
