Hey Guys,

This is completely not like us to do this, but a few people recommended it... Last month our family bloodhound, Dixon, ate 3 river rocks. He was then rushed into emergency surgery to remove the rocks and save his life, that surgery was $3100.00.  Since then, we removed all rock from our yard (Before my husband had his shoulder surgery on 10-29-22). The rain washed in gravel from our driveway that I really paid no attention to, until Lastnight. It was a complete nightmare all over again. We laid our 4 children down for bed when Dixon started drooling horribly, shaking all over, stopped eating and drinking, got lethargic, and wouldn't get up to move around. We got my Dad to come

over and sit with our children while we rushed him to Cheat Lake Animal Hospital, where we drained the last of our money on a visit, X-rays and medicine with fluids. The Vets found ANOTHER, 3 pieces of gravel inside of him... same spots AGAIN. Two pieces in his stomach and 1 in his small intestine, along with Copper shards in his belly. Now let me say (he is obviously a repeat offender), but he is also one of our two family dogs (who's 1st Birthday is in 2 weeks) and our 5 year olds best friend. The Vets office gave us the option of paying $5200.00 for surgery, or Euthanizing him. That is not an option in my book, I eventually found out that we could also surrender him to the office and "Save Our Life" rescue will help with him. Since Lastnight, we have had to surrender one of our best friends, and my children didn't know, that before school would be their last goodbyes. We have 3 days, (Until Sunday) to raise money so we can get Dixon back home, before they will adopt him out to another family. Im asking help from wherever we can get it... even if it is just prayers... to bring our baby back home. With my Husband being off wok due to surgery in his right shoulder, 4 kids, 2 Birthdays next month, and Christmas... We just want our baby back home. He is scared, sick and alone... and without the only family he has ever known. This isn't fair, This was not how it was all supposed to be... I am sick over it. Please SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!
