Dixon Shows Up: Aid for Mr. James
Donation protected
At the Dixon PTO, our motto is "Dixon Shows Up". We have the chance to show up for one of the people who shows up for us every single day — our beloved custodian, James Moore. Many of you know him as "Mr. James".
Earlier this month, James and his wife faced devastating flood damage at their home in Wauwatosa. Rising waters filled their basement and even reached several inches onto the first floor. They had to evacuate by foot as the water rushed in.
Their home is currently unlivable. Everything in the basement is a total loss, including his wife's treasured crafting/quilting room. She lost multiple sewing machines and a professional quilting machine. James lost all of his tools and entire workroom. With first floor damage as well, their one-story home will need a complete renovation.
During this time, James' wife's health conditions have worsened due to the increased stress, and they’ve had to move between a hotel, a family member’s home, and soon a temporary rental.
This is where we can help.
The Dixon PTO is raising funds to support James and his wife as they rebuild their home, replace essentials, and take care of their health and safety.
