My family lost everything in the Dixie Fire. They lived in Greenville and had been evacuated for 10 days when they were cleared to return home. Within 24 hours they were forced to leave again with only a few items. The home was destroyed and everything they owned was in it. They were renters and had no insurance coverage. My mom has been battling stage 4 lung cancer and anticipated spending the rest of her life in that home so the devastation has added extra stress during this difficult time. The family is not wanting to ask for help but they are starting over with nothing except a few clothing items, toiletries and a few pictures they were able to get out in time. Anything helps and is deeply appreciated.
