Hey everyone! My name is Leia Busmente. I am a trans woman living in Austin, TX. Some of yall might know me by Leia Sakura Dior, which is my performer name. To be honest, I'm unsure of what to put on here. I've been fortunate enough to have a bit of privilege in not needing financial assistance in the past; unfortunately, this past year it's been a bit of a struggle trying to juggle life and, for lack of better terms, survival. A lot of you know I don't really talk about my personal life to people; that stems from my upbringing growing up in poverty, so I try to tackle any obstacle by just facing it head-on, but in the past year it has taken such a toll on my mental health that I've decided to ask the community for help. For some context, I was let go from a job due to company changes. I also did not have a vehicle, which made it difficult to find employment, and the area I was living in was hard to navigate through public transportation. I also moved places, which was a financial chunk considering I was unemployed at the time, so ever since then I've been trying to catch up on everything, and it's been difficult. But I am now currently employed, and I love my job, but my paychecks are never enough to cover my rent, and my roommate, some of yall might know them as Arinna, has been having to cover a lot for me, and I would have to wait till my next pay to cover the rest of my bills, which leaves barely enough for my sustenance. I also no longer have a strong relationship with my biological family, so I haven't been able to rely on them for help. I have been on the hunt for a 2nd job that would work with my current work schedule, but I've been unlucky, or the job market here is just bad. And with drag shows, my fellow performers can attest that the shows in recent times have not been making enough, so I can't rely on that as well.

I am hoping to land a 2nd job this month so I can get back up on my feet and live comfortably again. I've always been a hard worker, but I've just been kicked too many times this past year, and how I've been handling that is reflecting on how my life is going right now. Regardless, I'm okay, and everything will work out :) A bitch is just struggle bus rn. Thank you again.
