Relief

With heavy rain still falling, rivers still rising, rescues still underway, and unknown thousands of people forced from their homes by record-breaking flooding, southeast Houston woke Tuesday to a long, painful road to recovery.

Alumni from César E. Chávez  High School have created this online fundraising page to assist affected students returning to school this upcoming week. With these funds we hope to purchase school supplies, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and non-perishables food items for students whose hardworking family's earning potential has been interrupted by the storm, and who may have lost everything.

Our goal is to serve students from the Oak Meadows, Meadobrook, Glenbrook, and Meadowcreek neighborhoods. The following schools are located near these communities; Rucker Elementary, Patterson Elementary, Bonner Elementary, Park Place Elementary, Stevenson Middle School, and Cesar E. Chavez High School.

Adrian Izaguirre, a member of the César E. Chávez
High School Class of 2012, will be assisting us in purchasing and dispersing items to students and families. Our goal is to provide students with this assistance on September 7, 2017.
