Fire at Westwood Village Apartments

On August 4th at approximately 11:20pm, Westland Fire was dispatched to Westwood Village Apartments for the complaint of smoke in the hallway. Units arrived and made entry, only to be forced out by a rapidly expanding fire.  Moving quickly through the attic space, firefighters battled for 12 hours to extinguish the flame. 33 families are now displaced with most of their belongings lost in the process.
