Today my family and I faced the unimaginable. Our lives have been turned upside down by an uncontrollable fire and our home has been consumed by the devastating fire at 508 Main Street, Atlanta GA. Fox5AtlantaNews
My children, Bailey (17), Eva (15), Jordan (12) and Braxton (10), husband and I escaped the building safely with our beloved Sally (family dog) and for that we are blessed. All of our belongings and personal possessions have perished. With only the clothes on our back, everything else was left behind.
As my children has been anticipating the return of school with excitement and
anticipation, they are now saddened by this unthinkable loss and my heart hurts for them. My daughter Bailey, a senior in high school this year never would have imagined entering her senior year with so much uncertainty. My husband, a local photographer has lost all his equipment and my passion of baking at a complete halt.
We are warmed by the outpouring of family and friends that have been reaching out to us offering their love, compassion and words of encouragement. They have asked us to create a GoFundMe account in order to donate on a safe and reliable platform.
This year has been challenging for all and we are extremely grateful for any donations to help with the purchase of clothing, shoes, school supplies, and essential needs to help rebuild our lives.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers as well as all the displaced families who are faced with enormous distress at this time.
