Displaced and Struggling: We Need Your Support

Hi all, anyone who knows me knows that I've spent my life donating to fundraisers, rescuing animals, working hard, independent, and self-supportive. I found myself displaced from home due to some unfortunate circumstances. I left my home to care for my uncle who turned out to be abusive, divisive, and threatening. Because he's elderly, I was at risk for legal issues if he chose to call the police on me. I could not take the abuse, the name-calling, or the threats any longer, and for those reasons, my rescue cat of five years, Casper, and I were immediately displaced from the home where we resided to help my uncle. This is very embarrassing and humbling for me.

Right now, I am in a crisis situation and could really use some help. I have been staying in hotel rooms since last Thursday with my cat, reaching out for help. I do appreciate all the prayers, but ultimately, I had to surrender Casper today. It's a 30-day foster, and I can get him back if I have a home. It's a hard order because rents are so high, and pets are mostly not allowed. I just want my life back. If you can find it in your heart to help my cause, anything will be helpful. I do not wish for anyone to ever be in this situation because it is horrific! All donations will go towards getting back into a safe place.

Also, I lost my full-time job in October, and so I was getting paid a small amount as a caregiver for my uncle. Once he went to the hospital for surgery, those funds were suspended as well, so I've been living on my savings from my full-time job, and the well is running dry. I am looking for work; however, this situation has put us in a bad spot without time to even prepare. So again, any donation will be highly appreciated and used for the right reasons. If you could please share my story. I'm frightened to death that I'm going to end up homeless. I'm very hurt because I set out and changed my life from what it was to go and help someone who needed my help, and now I am stuck in a really bad bind.
