Hello! We are the C.E. Utt Middle School Yearbook staff composed of 28 amazing students (picture only includes 15 of us). We would like your help to prepare our students for real-world jobs such as photojournalism, marketing, business, and entrepreneurship. One way to do so is to support us in our fundraising efforts ($3000) to attend the Disney Youth Leadership Program on May 31st,  2017. Participation in the program will further develop student’s leadership skills, build confidence in their abilities, and inspire motivation to overcome challenges.

It is important to note that an Utt Yearbook is not the simple production of a memory book but an intricate process that promotes 21st century skills. The responsibility of capturing such memories is brought to us in part by a dedicated and talented group of students who take their job (e.g., editor, writer, interviewer, page designer, and photographer) with a professional attitude. The project-based learning design of the course teaches students to work as a team, to problem solve, deal with stress, as well as meet the deadlines. The ongoing process of experimentation and reflection in an autonomous yet supportive environment aides in the promotion of real-world experience. The Disney Youth Leadership Program, therefore, align in the course’s promotion of personal and professional development.
