Dishforth C of E Primary School are fundraising for a full refurbishment of the Key Stage 1 toilets. This project is close to my heart, as I remember using these very toilets at school 35 years ago.
Sadly, they haven’t changed in this time — and they are now in desperate need of improvement. They leak, are difficult to clean, and are not a comfortable or welcoming space for our children.
We NEED to create a bright and clean environment, that the children can feel comfortable with — somewhere that reflects the caring, high-quality environment they learn in every day.
A quote has been provided by a Local Authority contractor for works totalling £9,000.00, which covers:
• Supply and installation of two new toilets and roll dispensers
• Supply and installation of new sinks, taps, and vanity units
• Removal of the old redundant heating system and boxing
• Supply and installation of new cubicle doors suitable for Key Stage One
• Supply and installation of wall “white rock” panelling
• Boxing in of heating pipework
• Non-slip vinyl flooring
Dishforth C of E Primary School doesn’t currently have the funds to make this project possible. Every contribution — big or small — will make a real difference.
Together, we can create a hygienic and cheerful space for our pupils, and for many future generations to come.
