Fundraising for Disgraceland – Help Keep This Boro Gem Alive

Disgraceland has always been more than a venue – it’s an organically grown, grassroots institution in the heart of Boro. Built on love, diversity and DIY spirit, it’s a space where everyone belongs. Over the years, we’ve hosted everything from dance, hard techno, dub , experimental noise and more, to LGBT Pride Events , Middlesbrough Art Weekend poetry, book clubs and live art events…. a real patchwork of culture that’s shaped by the people who walk through our doors.

Right now, though, we’re in a financial hole big enough potentially to bury us. Every avenue to resolve this has been maxed out….except one area where funding is available however this is a lengthy process and we’re at a point now where help is needed very urgently,

We’ve got an event lined up for 7th November with an amazing lineup all playing for free to support the space .

This weekend reminded me why I’m not ready to let it go. People travelled from Dundee to bring hard techno to our stage; the next night we celebrated Pride with an LGBT rave, we then cosied up for a Book Club on the Sunday

It’s been a journey full of energy, creativity and love…and hope it’s not over yet !
