Discus Olympic/Pro Hopeful

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel Dincoff! I'm a 24 year old discus thrower with profession/Olympic dreams. I'm originally from Indiana but traveled to the great Auburn University to compete in track and field where, I had a very memorable time competing. Now out of college, my passion still continues to grow for track and field. I've had an undying dream to go to the Olympics from the beginning of my throwing career in 8th grade. I have always trained hard and have had the passion to go above and beyond what is expected from me because I wanted to be the very best with the gifts God has blessed me with. I graduated from Auburn spring 2016 and since finishing my career at Auburn, I have been under a new coach. Coach Doug Reynolds has taken me to the next level and has worked with me on my technique and strength to where I've seen amazing results and had a personal best at 61.16m (200’8”ft). I know I have so much more to learn and work on and I'm training as hard as possible to make these dreams a reality.
Sadly, being a professional athlete is quite expensive. I currently work as a footwear associate at DICKS Sporting Goods which helps with the flexibility I need for training, but between normal living expenses, traveling expenses, and expenses for meets, it's a lot to take on by myself. I like to try to do everything on my own but with the time and energy commitment this dream requires, I've finally learned that it's okay to ask for help. So any donations would go to equipment, traveling/flying expenses to meets, meet entrance fees. I KNOW I can get myself to that elite level and I'll do what I do best by working as hard as I can to get stronger, faster, and more technically sound in the discus. I will be doing whatever I can to make this Olympic dream possible and represent the USA! Thank you for reading my story and thank you for your support, I hope to make you all proud! 2020 Tokyo, I'm coming for you! God bless!
