Disco's Skate Shop - From Dream to Reality!!

Happy Black Appreciation Month - Welcome to the Future!

Need somewhere to blow a stimmy, put your WSB gains, or just wanting to pay it forward? This may be the place for you. My name is Carlos, known to some around town as Carlos the Rollerblader & I'm asking for your help in giving Portland, OR it's very own Rollerblade store, Disco's Skate Shop - named lovingly after #1 chonky boy Disco the Cat. 

The IRL & digital shop will feature rollerblades primarily, but will also stock quad skates, parts & tools for both, custom builds & repairs for both, re/upcycling for both, apparel, & even strollers! (Hello strollerbladers!!) Disco's will also host classes, community events, & practice space for skaters in the area, all of which compliant with necessary COVID standards.  

These funds will allocate costs for Disco's from the ground up, including digital representation, location fees, development, municipal fees, staff fees, supplier fees, etc. Your donation will be helping create something that is much needed by a pandemic-affected city of Portland, also providing a baseboard for the skaters & bladers already homed here. The closest brick-n-mortar shops for rollerblades are in Seattle & southern California, none among them Black owned especially. Portland's got no shortage of Black businesses so it will be a point of pride to stand among their ranks, & to add to the pandemic-strengthened momentum of skaters everywhere. After participating in the massive WorldWide Rollout event last summer I feel strongly that the city could greatly use a central hub for movements of this nature. 

2021 already proves to be a year where the impossible & unlikely get closer to our fingertips every day - Please help me in bringing Disco's to life!
