Brampton Robotics is a non-profit organization based out of Brampton, Ontario. We are founded by 6 high school students who competed and ranked 1st in the 2014 Vex Robotics World Champions under the tag 3560Z, as well as their respective parent mentors. Brampton Robotics strives to promote STEM education -- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics -- through robotics among grades 4 -12 students in the community. We have multiple teams for kids in various age groups, ranging from elementary school to high school.
Brampton Robotics currently houses 6 high school teams competing in the VEX robotics tournament under the Discobots 1104 tag. Each team is comprised of ~6 students, all of whom have high hopes in pursuing a career in a STEM-related field. All 6 of our teams have successfully qualified to compete on the International stage in Louisville, Kentucky during the 2016 VEX Robotics World Championship this April. 5 of our 6 teams have ranked in the top 10 for the Robot Skills competition worldwide, and have accumulated over 40 awards in regional and provincial competitions.
Brampton Robotics also hosts 6 VEX IQ teams. This is the junior adaption of the VEX competition and consist of middle schooler students eager to enhance their knowledge in the STEM fields through robotics. All of our VEX IQ teams (under the tag 1140) have qualifeid for the world cahmpionship and currently hold 2 of the top 10 scores for Robot Skills in the world!
To compete at an international competition, we must fund a variety of things; this includes robot parts, transportation, lodging reservations, registration etc. As a community club, we are supported and funded by parents and students who share their passion for robotics with Brampton Robotics.
We are currently seeking sponsorships, donations, and any financial assistance in helping us to participate on the World stage. By donating to Brampton Robotics, you are not only helping the high school teams, but also the junior teams to achieve their dreams and participate in (and hopefully win) the international events!
