My name is Maria Rivera. On June 6, 2025, I was diagnosed with stage three HER2-positive breast cancer that spread to the lymph nodes in my axilla. The diagnosis came after I was hospitalized for sepsis twiMay. I spent a total of 18 days in and out of the hospital with a kidney infection and two blood clots, one in each lung. During that difficult time, doctors discovered a lump that ultimately led to my cancer diagnosis, and my treatment began immediately.
Fighting Stage III Breast Cancer — I Need Your .Nothing prepares you for hearing the word cancer. Overnight, my life became a cycle of appointments, scans, treatments, fear, and uncertainty. Every day is a physical and emotional battle. Some days, just getting out of bed takes everything I have.
Cancer has taken so much already—my energy, my sense of normalcy, my ability to work the way I once did. The treatments are necessary, but they are brutal. On top of the pain and exhaustion, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Medical bills, medications, transportation, and basic living expenses don’t stop just because I’m sick.
Asking for help is not easy for me, but I don’t have another choice. Right now, my focus has to be on surviving and healing. I am doing everything I can to fight this disease, but I cannot do it alone.
Your support—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping me in your prayers—means more than words can express. Every contribution helps ease the stress so I can continue treatment and focus on staying strong for myself and my family.
Thank you for standing with me during the hardest fight of my life. Your kindness gives me strength, hope, and the reminder that I am not alone.
With all my gratitude,
Maria lissette Rivera
