Our good friends Mary & Zach Phillips were recently lost most of their belongings while travelling for work. They've been on the road since March hunting and filming and had moved their possessions into a trailer as they were planning to sell their home while they were on the road and the trailer was lost in a fire. All of their production gear was lost in the fire and their truck sustained significant damage in the accident. They're in the process of recovering a hard drive with all their work on it and that alone may cost $7,500. Their loss is upwards of $100,000 and they hope to recover 70% of that through their insurance. If you've ever made an insurance claim you know you never fully recover the value in what was lost and, sadly, there were many personal items of sentimental value that will never be replaced.
As they wade through the insurance claim and make their way back home they're unable to work and, as they're self-employed, they don't have any government support. There are also some legal fees and other incidental expenses (hotel etc.) that are quickly adding up.
Please consider supporting our friends and help Mary & Zach get back on their feet and back on the road.
