The Somaliland Community of Minnesota is organizing a fundraiser for Hargeisa, Somaliland, where a devastating fire took place in the Waheen market, home to over 2,000 shops and stalls. So far, there are no reported deaths, but approximately 28 injured, and thousands have lost their livelihoods. In the last couple of years, Hargeisa has become a beacon of shining light in the Horn Of Africa. Somalilanders have rebuilt this great city from rubble once before, and we are sure they can do it again.
