GOFUNDME DISASTER RELIEF FUND FOR
KATHERINE COX AND DENNY MOORE
At about 10:00 pm on February 22nd, there was a fire at Ocean Creek Resort in North Myrtle Beach that completely engulfed in flames and destroyed a three-story building with 21 apartments. Long time Baba lovers Katherine Cox and Denny Moore both lived in one-room studios at Ocean Creek, and they lost virtually everything in the fire.
Katherine Cox has been a Baba lover since 1986, and lived in India for 7 years, where she did set and stage designs for Amartithi and Baba’s birthday. She currently is volunteering at the Meher Center as a host at Baba’s House, has helped take care of people like Adele Wolkin in the past, and has done decorating for Baba events at the Circle of Friends.
Denny Moore has been a Baba lover since 1970, and a long time childhood friend of Jeff Wolverton, who was his Baba connection. He has helped out with Race Path, worked and volunteered on the Meher Center doing building repair, upkeep, cabin cleaning, and tree work, and has also helped people like Ralph and Stella Hernandez and others in need.
This Gofundme effort is for disaster relief, to help replace every day items such as sheets, bedding, towels, kitchenware (pots, pans, toaster ovens etc.), electronics, clothing for all seasons, and special items such as Baba photos and Baba books. Since Katherine and Denny did not have renters insurance, this is the only means for them to be reimbursed in a significant way for some of their belongings. The donations received by this Gofundme will be divided in half for both Katherine and Denny. I hope that you are able to give what you can to help these special members of our Baba community.
