Joya (pictured above) is 5 years old.
Her mother, Assmahan Bou Rjelly,
died when their house collapsed after the explosion in Beirut.
Her Father, Degaul Bou Rjelly is currently in ICU lucky to be alive after suffering from several broken bones.
Joya is now staying with my cousin Rania and her daughters Pia and Sarah, while they are mourning the loss of their step mother Assmahan, and trying to stay in high spirits while their father is still recovering.
Joya lost her mother, her home, and is unable to see her father due to COVID and being in the hospital.
Prior to this tragedy, Lebanon was facing an unruly economic crisis. The price of necessities such as food, water, electricity, etc has become extremely overpriced, making it unaffordable to most. We will be sending the money directly to the Bou Rjelly Family via Western Union. Please donate what you can to Joya, her Father, her sisters and Family to help with funeral expenses, rehoming expenses, and for disaster relief.
