Update 10/29/24: I've been back home for about a week. Rent and bills loom, there's still little to no income for my household, and we are all stretched thin constantly working to stabilize.

We need 400 in a week to make sure our phones stay on. There's no progress on unemployment money, everything is moving so slow.

My name is Crowe, and I am a resident of Asheville, NC. I am a disabled artist.

I am raising funds to support myself and my three housemates (and our pets) during this time of great instability and grief. We have no income for the foreseeable future due to this disaster and the widespread damage it caused. Businesses are closed, roads are destroyed, events are all cancelled.

Like many others, Hurricane Helene has changed everything in my life and the lives of those close to me.

Lives, houses, communities, and businesses have been wiped from existence.
