On January 9th, 2018, a tragic mudslide hit Montecito, CA, and our dear dear friends, John Mooy and Nancy Soohoo Little Moon, barely escaped with their lives as the mud rushed in. We as a community feel so blessed to have John as a friend, guitar tech extraordinaire, storm and fire reporter, music community mayor, and overall mega-awesome guy. And Nancy, a beam of sunlight and kindness, hula dancer, love priestess, creative heart and friend to all.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help them recover from this terrible tragedy. Their whole lives have been turned upside down. They’ve lost their small cottage that Nancy has called home for 25 years, and a car, and have yet to find out about their belongings inside. They have not been able to work for weeks due to both fire and flood evacuations, and will need to find a new place to live and replace what was lost. Right now they’re just grateful to be alive. Let’s help them recover from this emotional trauma. These fine humans have given so much to all of us, now it's our turn to give back. Any amount will help tremendously.
This gofundme is being started by Susan Marie Reeves and Jesse Rhodes, on behalf of the community. All the money donated will go directly into John and Nancy's bank account.
