My name is John Davis; I recently purchased a house that I would like to make my forever home. The home is only 10 years old and was inspected by a VA approved inspector and even I did an inspection. All looked good on the outside and inside and after about 5 months I heard a loud pop in the middle of the night. I found a wall buckled under a window in my dining room. I had called a foundation repair company, and they recommended a water test on the main line and a hydrostatic test on the sewer line to ensure no water was leaking under the house. This is where things get ugly, as we found 3 main sewer line breaks. I had gotten all of those fixed, at a cost of $13,000 and then when it came time to lift the foundation all is going well but ran into more issues, as the northwest corner had sunk 4". I had gotten the corner lifted 2" and that is when I noticed my brick coming off the slab and also inside my house the walls were being lifted off the floor. The damage was more than what we all thought and I now need to have several piers installed inside the house. I am a single disabled veteran, I don't ask for much, give my efforts to help those who are in need over my own issues, but I am now finding myself in need of help with fixing my house. I don't have a lot of friends, normally stay to myself due to migraines and vertigo from my military career. I had an unexpected person break into my house and did some damage and tracked mud all over. I love my house, dang proud to be able to afford purchasing one finally at nearly 50 years old. I don't like to ask for help, but I am on my last leg on trying to get it fixed.
