Please help a 72 year old veteran and his sick dog

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this fundraiser. I’m starting this fundraiser for my father. His name is Glenn Stevens. He is struggling financially. Last year he spent about 5 months living in a V.A. homeless shelter. For about 5 years before that he lived in a beat up old RV. He tries to survive off of the minuscule amount the disability check provides every month. The Veterans Administration was finally able to find him somewhat affordable housing but living in NY nothing is affordable. He struggles every month with the basics like putting gas in his car and veterinarian bills for his sick dog. His dog was recently diagnosed with colitis and needs treatments and food that my dad just can’t afford. He adopted his dog named Champ from Southampton Animal Shelter and my father always takes the dog that has been in the shelter the longest and the dog that nobody wants. His previous dog Scottie died several years ago and my dad was devastated. His dogs are his family and best friends. He takes in the abused dogs and gives them a safe, loving home. My father suffers from depression and anxiety and has had heart issues for the last 35 years. He needs help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The government has recently cut back the food stamps. He just can’t survive on what his check provides. Please help. My father is a veteran and he is 72 years old. He was born and raised in Southampton NY.  He was in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was stationed on a military base in Thailand. He was an airplane mechanic.
