Disabled twins need specialised adapted double buggy
Donation protected
Hi my name is Katrina. I am fund raising for my disabled twins for a specialised double buggy and tomato seat. My daughter has quadriplegic cerebral palsy with spacicity , dystonia, global development delay, chronic lung disease, brain damage, absent seizures, oral aversion, peg fed, profound vision loss, hearing problems, pooling secretions, sensory issues and a pda; which mean she is unable to stand and walk . This means she needs a specialist buggy and tomato seat to hold her upright and in the right position. My son also has cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease, sensory issues, hearing issues, sight issues and global development delay, he is only able to walk very short distances, which he uses a k walker for. He get tired extremely easily due to his medical condition so then goes into a stroller at the moment. At this present time I am pushing a stroller and a wheelchair when we are out, bearing in mind I don’t drive either. My twins are in need of a Special Tomato EIO Double Pushchair with double connectors as shown in pictures above, and 1 blue tomato seat to go inside my daughter’s side of the double. Unfortunately the charity that would usually fund this equipment is not taking new referrals, so we have got to find a way of paying for it. At this present time my twins are not attending nursery as I can’t get them there and it is very difficult to take them out of the house on my own. Both children’s needs are very high, they have restricted communication and struggle to committed their needs, they also struggle socially when meeting new people and in a new environment.
