Disabled trans couple in need of forever housing
Donation protected
We are Natalia and Micah, a disabled trans couple. We are currently living in Colorado with our emotional support dog, Rhonas, after having to leave our disabled housing in Texas in July because of harassment from police and neighbors. We came to Colorado because of the legal protections for trans people they have in place.
We had been homeless for a couple of years before finally getting the disabled housing in TX, and again when we came to CO. We have found ourselves in some really not-ideal situations over the years because of some really horrible people taking advantage of the fact that we didn't have a home. We are here asking for your help in securing a home that we can buy and own, permanently, so we can finally be safe and secure.
We have been in communication with a realtor here, he has told us that so long as we are able to put down 20% and our credit scores are at 680 or higher, we can buy a house. We've gotten our credit scores where they need to be, now we just need the 20% down and we're set. The median cost of homes here in Colorado is about $577,500 according to Zillow home values, though we don't need anything too big which is why we have set the goal to 50k instead of 100k. If we can do this, we'll finally have a permanent home, free of anyone around to take advantage of us. Once housing is not an issue for us anymore, we can really start living our lives and actually taking care of ourselves how we desperately need to. Please consider helping us achieve this goal if you are able to. Thank you so much.
