Disabled & Overdue: Utility Bill Help Needed

As I have shared with some of you, I am going through a rough time financially and a kind friend urged me to post a go fund me request.

Crystal has been experiencing some rough financial times, like many of us these days. But she can’t just dip into her savings or put an expense on a credit card. WHY? Because her situation is a bit different. She’s not able to work full-time or even part-time, as she’s disabled, with multiple health issues.

Because of unplanned and recent rent and utility increases and some unexpected health expenses, she’s been struggling with rent, electric, heat/gas – the basics that keep a roof over her head!

Crystal works hard to make a tiny bit of money by creating and selling Crystal’s Creations, which are beautiful pendants that are wire wrapped -- perhaps you’ve seen her work on her Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/crystalscreationsnyc.

However, that income is minimal and goes to feed her beautiful cats, who give her unending love, emotional support, and much cuddle time.

Crystal relies on her Social Security Disability Income, which is a very limited amount of funds which usually are enough to cover her rent/utilities, etc. She gets an even tinier bit of SNAP (food stamps) which enables her to purchase cheap pasta, rice, and other long-lasting food. There is no wiggle room for added or increased expenses as SSDI and SNAP do not increase due to larger expenses.

So, what’s the solution?

She really needs the help and financial support from her community – friends, family, followers and folks who have admired her Crystal Creations.

Right now, she’s behind on rent, gas/heat/electric, and has overdrawn her bank account, which then charges her penalties, but she’s not able to fund the account until her next SSDI payment which is weeks away.

So now she needs our help. She’s relying on you – to help her get out of this financial hole.

She’s not asking for much; rather a contribution of $10, $25, or whatever you can afford will truly help. And in fact, you’d be amazed at how a variety of small amounts of funds from a mix of people can add up to a much larger amount. And that larger amount will make a difference.

And isn’t that what we all want to do? Make a difference? Effect Change? Help another human being?
