My name is Finn and I am a 23 year old cancer survivor and wheelchair user. I am disabled and chronically ill. I have tried to escape family violence since I was 17, but every time I left I had to come back because of my health or relationship breakdowns. This is the fifth time trying to leave family violence.

I have somewhere to stay with 1 of my 2 cats for at least a week. My sister is looking after my other cat but I am not sure for how long. One of my friends has offered me this safe place to stay for a week (potentially more if I cannot find somewhere). It is not accessible for me, it is a 2 storey house. I need stability. I need a wheelchair accessible house that both my cats can stay at.

I have endured emotional, verbal and medical abuse at the hands of my parents since as long as I can remember. At this point, there is a risk of this developing into physical abuse, which is why I have had to leave so urgently.

The argument that occurred on the 13th of July I was able to record. The extent of the abuse that was captured from these recordings is terrible and I cannot even watch them.

I have nothing to my name, not even a car, which is integral to managing my physical and mental health due to having upwards of 2 doctors appointments a week. I will be purchasing a car so that worst case scenario I have a car to sleep in with my cat.

Any money raised will go towards paying for the car, fuel, cat food, essentials, groceries and medications. My medication in my Webster pack alone costs about $100 per week (not including pain medication).
