Hi, my name is Sammy and i run a private special needs cat sanctuary called Heidi`s Courageous Cat Foundation in the Midlands, UK. We rescue, rehabilitate and offer long term care for cats and other animals with disabilities. We help raise awareness of special needs cats and help support owners and other rescues. We are entirely self funded and rely solely on donations and sponsors to keep doing the work we do.
In January myself and my husband decided we would do a skydive to help raise awareness of the work we do, and to raise much needed funds for our own sanctuary. We also decided that we wanted to share the funds raised with another charity close to our hearts, Pumpkin and Friends, who support disabled animals by providing them with wheelchairs.
Sadly In February we had to leave our home and previous sanctuary as we were being targeted and suffered terrible vandalism attacks on our property. Despite a long investigation the police were unable to convict anyone and as we had been threatened to have further attacks we had no choice but to leave. We are currently in temporary accommodation awaiting the sale of our home so that we can find a new place to run and grow HCCF.
We also sadly and suddenly recently lost our very special HCCF sanctuary cat Heidi, on Friday 29th May. She was the reason our sanctuary started and exists, we want her legacy to continue and we hope to raise as much funds as possible in her memory, so that she can help more and more animals even though she is no longer with us.
So on Tuesday 16th June 2026 at Hinton Airfield NN13 5NS, we will be jumping out of an aeroplane to raise awareness of the work we do and raise much needed funds for both organisations. Anyone is welcome to join us and come along to meet us on the day, we`d love to see you there!
