Disabled and Homeless in San Francisco
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Harmony. I recently became homeless in San Francisco. I am disabled and me and my cat are couch surfing with friends.
I don't know how to write this. I don't know what to say. But, I am trying to raise funds to get into a room somewhere. It is vital that I have somewhere to live, as I cannot survive on the streets with my health conditions, which are many in number, including heart conditions and diabetes. I currently take insulin and need somewhere to refrigerate it. I also take 20 other meds. I see 9 doctors. I am due for a back surgery to replace a disk and make it possible for me to at least walk without excruciating pain.
I am beyond scared. I've never been homeless before. I've never been forced out of my home before. I've never had all my things piled in random boxes, sitting on the floor of someone's garage. I have never been in this position.
So, I'm turning to my community for help. I need a room somewhere that I can rent. I will need application fees, deposits, and first months rent. I will also need to get Dax, my cat, Vaccinated. I will also need a few things to prepare for my upcoming back surgery, like maybe a futon.
I appreciate any and all help. Thank you.
