Jamie's Waiting for Disability Fund

Hi, my name is Jamie Richardson and I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD).

MCTD is an auto-immune disease that causes debilitating joint pain, muscle pain and weakness. Last year, my health took a turn for the worse, I was hospitalized for 3 weeks, and I haven’t been able to work since then.

I filed for disability, moved out of NY because it was too expensive, and came down South to live with my mom.  My mom is 75 and living on a fixed income. My disability appeal, because most cases are initially denied, should take another six months to a year to be paid. 

So I’m raising money to help pay for living expenses until my disability comes through. Can you help? I would be so grateful.
