Disability Transportation Modifications Needed

On March 13, 2023, my brother’s life was forever changed when he became one of the victims in a mass shooting. Our entire family is very grateful for the response from the community and the delivery of a van equipped to transport disabled persons. The current modifications to the transport van were made for an unpowered wheelchair, due to Florencio’s quadriplegic disability, he must use a heavier motorized wheelchair. The significant additional weight has increased strain on the suspension of the vehicle. Airbag modifications have been recommended to handle the heavier load, save the suspension, and extend the overall life of the vehicle. These devices must be installed by a qualified technician.
