Build A Life For Zachary Allison

Update 3/20    Zachary recently lost his beloved "Nana" Annette Allison. Before passing, one of Annette's last wishes was to help her grandson. Annette deeply loved Zachary, and it pained her to see him fight his deadly disease every day of his life. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Annette has asked that donations be made to Zachary's medical and housing fundraiser. Zachary misses and loves his Nana so very much. All funds are put into Zachary's "STABLE Account" the South Carolina Able program by his grandfather, Michael Carlson. STABLE allows individuals to receive financial help without disqualifying them from disability benefits. To contact Zachary directly we set up the email [email redacted] Zachary is 21 and in the adult phase of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy ADULT PHASE (AGE 15+) In the last phase of Duchenne, there is increased difficulty in breathing. Life-threatening heart and lung conditions. Regular heart and lung monitoring is required, medications necessary, breathing support needed, complete loss of using arms, legs, and he will need to eat through a feeding tube. Historically, boys with Duchenne typically die in their late 20s to early 30s due to complications with their heart and lungs. Zachary is now 21 and needs around the clock care. Zachary lives with his single mom. She is unable to work, suffers from seizures  and cares for Zachary 24/7.   It is his mother's greatest wish to keep Zachary on in-home care, comfortable, with the necessary home modifications, care and medical equipment.  His current home is rented and can't accommodate his needs. Zachary also needs to be closer to family, and Muscular Dystrophy clinic Zachary needs to raise money for a wheelchair accessible home, with modifications for the bathroom, bedroom, whole house independent ceiling lift system, care assist hospital bed, electric patient lift, wheelchair ramp, other medical equipment, closing costs, and the downpayment on a home.  Thank you for taking time to read about Zachary, and please share.
