Hello, my name is Lauren. Together with my Husband, Dan, and our two incredible friends, Sam and Matt, we are climbing Snowdon the weekend of the 11th July -13th July 2025, for a club very close to our hearts.

Andover Streets Ahead is a

football club that prides itself on being inclusive, and supporting those who have disabilities, to access community based football. We support players aged 5 to adulthood, with a variety of diagnosis’s and also a wide range of abilities. The volunteer staff all play a vital role in further enriching the lives of our players. This climb is to raise funds and hopefully provide more opportunities, equipment and whatever else our players would like!

Both myself, Dan, Sam and Matt, are parents to children with disabilities, who could not access mainstream football. Streets Ahead plays a significant role in providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment where our children and the other players can be themselves without any added pressure. Being part of a club is a luxury many people do not realise is exactly that, a luxury! We are fortunate to have a club in our home town where our children can have these opportunities.

You may now understand why Streets Ahead is so important to us.

We each have supported the club in taking on a role, Lauren - Parent Liasion, Dan - Coach for our adult players and Matt and Sam, Coaches for our Under 12s team!

None of us are experienced hikers, so for entertainment purposes, you will likely see photographs of us crying as we complete the climb on our Facebook page! (I should say, myself and Sam!)
