Old Dilapidated Desks Be Gone

I've been teaching for over 23 years at General George A. McCall public school in Philadelphia and I’m still loving my job!   My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds.  We are a diverse school with most of our students qualifying for free school lunch.  The students desks I have used in my 23 years, of teaching were picked out from the trash from when I first started teaching.  When I first entered my classroom as a brand new teacher, I had no desks in my classroom.  Fortunately, other classrooms were getting rid of their older desks that were in the worst condition and I was able to pick out 32 desks that weren't in horrible shape.  Over the years, my students have dealt with broken mismatched desks and wobbly chairs but fortunately, my wonderful students were ready to learn regardless.  My principal offered to buy large tables, but my students will need individualized desks in order to have access to the supplies they need throughout the day. Year after year, the students who come through my classroom have made my many years of teaching so wonderful.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me fund this project so that I could finally have a new set of desks and chairs for all my students to continue to learn and explore .
