We're The Wild Cat Imaging Project! The project is dedicated to raising awareness for the wild felids of Latin America. Through the use of traditional and professional camera trapping, our goal is to provide high quality video and images to other projects/organisations to aid in scientific research. We achieve this by directly collaborating with other projects, alongside our own.

Wild cats in Costa Rica, such as jaguars, ocelots, oncilla and puma, are facing increasing threats from habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. These elusive and endangered species play a critical role in maintaining the health of our ecosystems, but their populations are declining rapidly. Our Wild Cat Imaging Project works to monitor and protect these incredible animals through advanced camera trapping, research, and community outreach. With your support, we can expand our efforts to gather vital data, raise awareness, and implement conservation strategies that ensure wild cats have a future in Costa Rica. Every donation helps us protect these keystone species before it's too late.

Your donations will directly fund the equipment essential for monitoring and protecting wild cats in Costa Rica. Camera traps are a critical tool for studying these elusive species, allowing us to capture images and data without disturbing their natural behavior. Each camera trap costs between $150-$200, and we aim to deploy them across key habitats to track population trends and identify threats. Additionally, donations will cover ongoing costs such as SD cards, protective cases, and rechargeable batteries, which ensure the cameras can operate continuously in remote areas. By investing in this equipment, you are helping us gather vital data that informs conservation strategies, raises awareness, and ultimately protects Costa Rica's wild cats and their fragile habitats.
