DIRECT AID FOR OUR UKRAINIAN FAMILY AND FRIENDS

My name is Natalya. My family and I came from Ukraine 20 years ago. Since then, we keep in touch with our relatives and friends. There are so many memories. We were born there, went to school, then to university. My son was born there, and my parents and brother are buried there. That is why, when the unthinkable came to Ukraine on February 24, 2022, we took it so personally. My heart, my soul was broken. We are trying to support our relatives and friends financially as best we could. Many of them lost their jobs, then their homes. They must find places to live and food for their families. Every day, every hour, every minute, they persevere under these difficult circumstances. They are the true heroes.

My American friends and coworkers continuously ask us about the situation in Ukraine. They would be more than happy to help the Ukrainian people directly. There are so many different programs that are helping Ukraine during this crisis, but my Ukrainian friends and relatives need help immediately. That is why I decided to open a GoFundMe account, to have an accessible place for everyone’s donations and then transfer it directly to people and organizations in Ukraine as soon as possible.
