The Pediatric Primary Care Clinic at Denver Health Webb Center for Primary Care is a located in the heart of metropolitan Denver and is one of the busiest pediatrics clinics in Colorado. From the newborn period to 18 years old, they provide care to over 10,000 kids in Denver. The vast majority of patients served are considered low income, and nearly 80% live at or below poverty level. Every year, school supply costs rise and school budgets shrink, placing a growing burden on families already struggling financially. Unfortunately, some of our families cannot afford school supplies for their children, resulting in children starting the year without the essential tools they need in order to succeed in school. With the help of our Med-Peds colleagues and in partnership with the Denver Health Foundation, we have started a fund-raising project to provide families with clothes and school supplies for this upcoming school year. We aim to raise enough money to support at least 200 children seen at the Denver Health Webb Center for Primary Care.
