Just when we thought we left the worst back in 2021, the universe had other plans for 2022.

 

For those who do not know, Diosvany is an ED tech at Mount Sinai Hialeah Freestanding. He has worked endlessly and tirelessly through the pandemic, giving his all to help on the frontlines. He is the man of the hour, the one we all look forward to seeing in the morning, you know Diosvany has arrived when you see the double doors fly open and the smell of his cologne fills the ER, that's also when you know the cafecito is not far behind. Diosvany is a loving, husband, father and friend to many.

 

Unfortunately, Diosvany's life took a turn for the worst, and he now requires OUR help.

On March 1st, 2022, a day like no other, our dear co-worker's life would change forever.

Diosvany was riding his scooter to run errands when he was struck by a car and was thrown off his bike, only to be found 25 ft away from the scene. He would later be transported as a trauma alert to Jackson Ryder by fire rescue. The first few days following his accident would be filled with uncertainty and complete and utter distress. Diosvany would suffer multiple fractures, internal injuries and head trauma, causing him to have little to no motor response or knowledge of what had happened.

 

Our most recent update gives us hope that Diosvany will recover!! His resilience, drive and optimism is proof that he will continue to fight this battle and come out stronger than ever. Although he still has no recollection of the accident, he is alert and smiling, but his journey is far from over.

 

Diosvany is the sole provider for his family. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help his wife and family with these unexpected medical expenses. His wife has not left his side and has been unable to return to work. We ask that you continue to keep him in your prayers and that we do not lose hope.
