Dino's Emergency Vet Bill

Hi there!

 

My name is Jocelyn, and my best friend Megan's childhood dog, Dino, is dealing with an unexpected and severe illness that needs immediate medical attention.

 

The family had noticed that he'd been acting strange the past few weeks (i.e., shivering, lethargic, vomiting, bleeding, etc.) and took him to the vet to see what could be wrong. The vet indicated that Dino needed to be sent to MedVet immediately due to extremely high blood sugars and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The vet advised that Dino be placed into the ICU as soon as possible, or the results could be fatal.

 

As I'm sure many of you understand, owning a pet is one of life's greatest joys - but it can also come with unexpected and debilitating costs. Of course, I know Megan and her family will do everything they can to help Dino, but I want to do my part in helping them. Dino is

on his way to the ICU, where the estimated MedVet bill is $4500.

 

Personally, I will be paying it forward because I know if my pet were in a situation this scary and unexpected, I would hope my community would stand with me to lessen the load.
