Dinner on the Hill welcomes families in Lewisham facing food insecurity to enjoy a free, three-course, restaurant-style meal. Every month we serve local families in our community.

We are not a soup kitchen or a food bank. Instead, we provide a dining experience to families that might otherwise not get to enjoy these special moments. Since serving our first meal in March 2024, we’ve provided more than 630 dining experiences at our pop-up dinners in Lewisham and Southwark.

We operate on the principle that enjoying a meal out with family shouldn’t be a luxury for the few. But rising costs and growing inequality means too many families across the UK are being priced out of this simple pleasure. We’re here to change that. Through your support we are making restaurant dining accessible to every family!

Dinner on the Hill is run by a group of local friends who feel passionately about supporting the community they grew up in.

We are a volunteer-led project dedicated to giving families a proper night out. We collaborate with local restaurants and chefs to deliver a restaurant experience families who might otherwise miss out.
