Salam Everyone,
During the current uncertain times we are in right now and it also being the blessed month of Ramadan I wanted to create a fundraising page so we can all receive good deeds this Ramadan.
“The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan,” (Hadith, Bukhari).
Back home in Qazipur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, my uncle has created a hospital that is solely charity based, and is run in the village. Workers and Managers in the hospital use their own earnings to help fund the hospital in order to help people who need it most. After the year we have been through I think it is important for us to open our eyes and come to the realisation that there is always someone who is worse off than us, someone who prays to Allah every night just to live even a quarter of the life we live and to experience the luxuries we experience.
As of now our hospital has a very very short supply of Oxygen machines with each machine costing £750. Oxygen cylinders prices have also dramatically gone up in price, from 1500 rupees to 5000 rupees. We need the help of all brothers and sisters to help in donating so we can help as best as we can.
Currently the Coronavirus is sweeping the streets of India and many fear that Pakistan is heading in the same direction with almost 5000 people testing positive daily, bringing the positivity ratio up by 10.20%. Pakistan being a developing country means that there is not an adequate amount of equipment and medical supplies to help those suffering, and now Pakistan is heading towards a significant oxygen shortage, which will seriously impact covid patients. Major hospitals in the Capital City of Islamabad are facing low oxygen pressures as corona becomes a bigger problem in Pakistan.
if this is the case in the bigger cities then we cannot begin to imagine how this will affect the villages in Rural Pakistan.
“If cases continue to rise, hospitals may face shortage of oxygen as we are producing at our maximum capacity," an official of the Pakistan Oxygen Limited, an oxygen producing company, told The News on Friday.
So let us all gain rewards this Ramadan by helping those who are suffering, let us use this as a reminder of how lucky we are to live in developed countries with free healthcare and adequate medical supplies to ensure anyone suffering, recovers immediately. Even if it is as little as a pound it will be appreciated because our Religion is so beautiful and understanding that even sharing this fundraiser will give us reward that will help those who need it most in this life and will help us when we need it most in the hereafter.
“The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity,” (Hadith, Tirmidhi)
“Any servant who resides in a land afflicted by plague, remaining patient and hoping for reward from Allah, knowing that nothing will befall him but what Allah has decreed, he will be given the reward of a martyr”. (Bukhari)
Let us all work together to help people go back home to their families and to help Pakistan get back on its feet amidst this pandemic. May all of our efforts be accepted and May we all meet in Jannah, Ameen
