Dill's Emergency Surgery

Hi ours name are Tyler and Katie and our sweet fur-baby had to get emergency surgery on 11/6. We started noticing issues on 11/2 and took him to the vet numerous times. They gave him IVs, anti-nausea and did multiple radiographs over 3 days. We thought we were out of the woods and he was making a recovery, but then on 11/6 we could tell something was very wrong. I called our vet and they told us to go to the ER to get an ultrasound since the ultrasound techs usually only come once a week or once a month to typical vets.

After 4 hours at the ER we got the call that he had a perforation and needed emergency surgery since toxins were leaking out of his intestines and shutting down the rest of his body. We were terrified, shocked, and our hearts were broken. It was either do the surgery or he wouldn't make it till morning. The good news is that he is slowly recovering and will be monitored in the hospital for the next few days.

Due to the severity and time sensitivity of the issue we had to take out a loan in order to get Dill the care he needed. We would not be asking for help if we didn't need it.
