Our Miracle

Donation protected
UPDATE: I have taken some time to do his FMLA in which Lear has denied. I am unable to work because I have to be with my son in ICU and as of right now we have no income. Dillon is making progress but this is going to be a very long process of healing and recovery. I’m asking for your continued support during this time. We’ve never been through anything like this and seeing my son like this is something I never thought would happen. As a mother this is more than heartbreaking and I am at a loss at what to do. All the love and support has given me hope and it has made a huge positive impact on our family. I appreciate each and every one of you for helping us get through this and I pray you’ll find it in your hearts to continue to do so. God bless you!!! God is the reason we’re here and y’all help and continuous support and prayers… Dillon the one they all thought was the quiet little break boy has been the strong country boy/man Praise the Lord 24/7 God Is Great well Beyond Awesome

UPDATE: Dillon is our miracle! He was initially our Christmas Miracle and on that day he miraculously responded to the eye test and was moving his right arm! He also shook his head yes and no! Dillon has survived 16 major surgeries and a traumatic brain injury. He has been moved from neuro ICU to trauma ICU recently and still has not fully woke up yet but we have faith it will be very soon!!. He is a fighter for sure and has survived more than the average person ever could. The doctors did not think he would make it on day one. (We’re on day 16) They also said he would be paralyzed if he did make it, BUT GOD. He is truly our miracle! We want to thank everyone for the prayers, love, and support through all of this! Please continue to share his story and again THANK YOU to all the donations both known and anonymous. They mean the world to us and have given us a peace of mind during this difficult time..

Dillon was in a horrific car accident on Sunday morning leaving work after working all night. He fell asleep driving and hit a bridge head on. He has extensive injuries all over his body and is currently in the neurology ICU at UAB. He was life flighted here from Tuscaloosa DCH where he has been fighting for his life. He has had several blood transfusions, emergency surgery to remove his spleen, surgery on his colon, some intestines removed, and his aorta repaired. He also has a traumatic brain injury with multiple brain bleeds and swelling. They have put in a tube to relieve the swelling and pressure on his brain and it seems to be helping. He also had a mini stroke. In addition to all of that he has a broken back (lumbar bone), broken foot, broken leg, broken ribs, bruised kidneys, spinal fractures, and more. We will obviously be here for a while and it's expensive. We need help with being able to stay at the hospital hotel to be here for him at all times. My family is from Tuscaloosa and we've been alternating turns with him in the room and resting when we can. The doctors have told us he will be here for a while and the time frame is unknown but we won't be leaving anytime soon. He has a very long road ahead of him and he needs us every second we can be here. Leaving him and going home is not an option. Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers. Merry Christmas
