Amazing Kid, Amazing Future

I was 15 when I found out I was pregnant , instantly I was placed on a new, unfamiliar path and my life was heading somewhere that felt both equally scary and exciting.  Fast-forward 9 somewhat awkward and weird months, and Dillon Marlow was brought into the world.  A little blob of baby that stole my heart and became my world.   From the time he was three and sorting M&Ms by colors, rocks by size, and asking questions to learn anything and everything he could (seriously, he never stopped asking questions...never)  I knew that he was going to be something special.  Over the last 15 years, I have watched him grow from a silly, sweet, and always happy baby to the amazing,  hardworking , and caring young man he is today.  His desire for knowledge,  sorting,  and structure grew into a love of Legos and he still builds the most incredible and creative structures from those little toys.   Now, a high school student, Dillon is following his passion and dreams into the field of architecture, and has done his absolute best staying on track to reach his goal.   He is carrying a 4.5+ GPA,  is an active member of the football team, a weekly  volunteer, and an active and respectful part of our household all while maintaining and growing meaningful  relationships with family and friends. Recently , Dillon has been nominated to attend two impressive and well deserved events ; The Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders and The National Youth Leadership Forum. Unfortunately, as a family of five, we are not in the financial straits to allow us to send him to these completely on our own.  The total cost of these events is approximately  $8000.00 which covers transportation, food,  hotel, and, most importantly, tuition cost.   This is an unimaginable opportunity for him, he has the chance to meet, talk and work with people like Dr. Cherry A. Murray - Dean, School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, Harvard University, Dr. James D. Plummer - Dean Emeritus, School of Engineering, Stanford University, as well numerous other Doctors, teachers, Nobel Prize Winners, and entrepreneurs that have excelled in the field Dillon is pursuing .  This trip would an unforgettable step towards his amazing future .  If you have the ability to donate, we would be eternally grateful,  you would forever be a part of making his dreams come true.
