Hi, my name is Kodi Alvord. I play for Triple Crown Colorado, a softball team based in Fort Collins. Pictured is my team's coach, Matt Robbins, his wife and his son Dillon. This past Saturday, his son, Dillon Robbins, suffered a fall while attempting to repair his fraternity house door to the basement unit at 10 pm. He suffered a traumatic brain injury after rolling down the stairs. He received emergency surgery to relieve the brain bleed pressure and is intubated and in a coma in the hospital in South Dakota. He is in critical condition. Matt and his family are staying in a home near the hospital.
Dillon Robbins attended Rocky Mountain High School and played football. He now is continuing his studies at SDSMT. He's a good kid with a good family.
Matt Robbins works for Poudre School District and deals with building maintenance when he is not coaching.
Our coach cares for our team so much. He is always thinking about us and spends so much of his time with us. He does everything for us and we want to give back. We don't know how much about Dillon's situation or how much care he will need. But we don't want our coach to have to worry about anything other than being there for Dillon. Their family's temporary housing costs have already been generously covered, but there are more costs that we don't want them to worry about, such as food and medical bills. They also needed to take time off of work to be with Dillon, and they will still have house payments, car payments, electricity bills, and everything else that comes with it. We will use the money to provide relief for bills, provide meals, put together relief gift baskets, etc.
No amount of money can make everything right, but if we can provide a little relief for our coach and make his family's life easier, we will do whatever it takes. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you so much.
