Donation protected
All Dillingham Spotlight productions are fully run by students. They are also fully funded by students. This can become incredibly financially difficult. As part of this program there is no ticketing cost for any other of the productions that are put on. Please consider donating to help support the students who are making this happen. All proceeds are put towards the current and future shows produced through Dillingham Spotlight. By supporting you are supporting the program's goal of creating a culture of collaboration, experimentation and inclusivity. Donate whatever amount you choose, any donation helps!!
About Dillingham Spotlight
Dillingham Spotlight is a new production program at Ithaca College focused on supporting students in developing and stage their own small-scale theatrical productions in Ithaca College's Earl McCarroll Black Box Theatre. Dillingham Spotlight is currently in its third season and is presenting 2 shows this spring.
About Woke Frankenstein
The first show of this season which opens March 21st is "Woke Frankenstein or The Post-Modern Neo-Marxist Prometheus" written by Ithaca College Student Robyn Jensen-Tode ('26). The show is being directed by Ithaca College Students Jack Abba ('27) & MJ Jacobs ('27).
Woke Frankenstein follows Lily, a Monster who has been living in secret as a traditional wife and homemaker, as she reunites with her creator, Victor Frankenstein, and his newest Monster, Eve. She and Eve grapple with the realities and implications of their existence as Monsters, while Victor works on reviving Balthazar, Lily's husband whom she killed after he found out her identity as a Monster. Lily and Eve form a close friendship apart from Victor, which makes him hostile towards the pair of them and further allows them to question their ties to their creator.
The donation you make will go directly toward covering the cost of materials being used in this production of Woke Frankenstein. Any funds that are not used will be transfered to future Dillingham Spotlight productions.
If you would also like to more directly support the other Dillingham Spotlight production of this semester, Antigone Now you can do so through this link: https://gofund.me/fa77dbfd
